"From Narcotics to Knock" - New Documentary to be aired on Claremorris Community Radio

New documentary focusing on the drug problem in the west of Ireland to be broadcast on Claremorris Community Radio

From Narcotics to Knock', a new hour-long documentary focusing on drug and addiction problems in rural Ireland, will be aired on Claremorris Community Radio this Friday, 6th January at 1pm and repeated on Wednesday 11th January at 4pm.

The documentary was produced by Claremorris Community Radio volunteers and staff, and presented by Tommy O'Connor. It features interviews with Sean Foy, a community substance misuse counsellor based in Ballina, as well as Fiona McCarthy, the director of counselling at Knock Counselling Service.

The programme will also give listeners a unique insight into Cenacolo House in Knock, a rehabilitation service which takes in people from around the world who come to the west of Ireland to recover from various addiction problems.

Claremorris Community Radio would like to thank all of those involved with this project including those who contributed from Cenacolo House and who spoke about their recovery from drug addiction.
